Safety Observation Refresher
The skill to perform Safety Observations is foremost in the foundational capability of all employees. Leaders, as well as subordinates, must be able to recognize and communicate the presence of risks and hazards throughout their work environments. Everyone is accountable in this skill area and they must be motivated to accept personal responsibility for managing their own safety and reporting any situations or behaviors that could put people and equipment in danger. This skill empowers every employee to take the appropriate actions required to maintain a safe workplace for themselves and their team. Reinforcement by management and other team members builds a safety culture where every person is willing to take the initiative to work safely and correct unsafe situations.
