After Action Review (AAR)

All AAR workshops are customized to complement the team learning process being implemented by the project team. The team performs an in-depth review and analysis of the key lessons learned during implementation of recent drilling and completion procedures. The lessons learned are captured and procedures are modified accordingly.

What You Will Learn

  • Reinforce the team learning process being implemented within the project team.
  • Organizational and reporting structure of the team. Roles and responsibilities.
  • Follow standard AAR structure:
    • What was the objective?
    • What “input” actions were planned to accomplish the objective?
    • What measurable “outputs” were predicted?
    • What actually happened? How did actual inputs and outputs vary from the predictions?
    • What were the reasons for these differences?
    • What lessons were learned to improve performance on this task in the future?
  • Balance People and Process to ensure all team members are motivated to contribute their best efforts toward performance improvement.
